Exercise and Maintaining Strength in Senior Years

Doctors will tell you that people may lose up to 30% of their muscle strength between the ages of fifty and seventy. Since strength is important in maintaining an independent lifestyle, it is crucial to find ways to do ab workouts and  minimize muscle strength loss. One way to build and maintain strength is called Progressive Strength Training. Such training involves a combination of free weight work mixed with exercise machine work and elastic band resistance training. When beginning a new exercise routine it’s always best to confer with your doctor first. The key to progressive training is to increase the work incrementally and thus avoid injury. Let’s stay strong and start some abs exercises!
