SeniorNet.org is an online site dedicated to providing computer education to seniors. They began work in 1986 and are active in the United States, Japan, Sweden and Malaysia. This membership-based site values respect for our seniors, strives to foster independence, provide a forum for sharing wisdom, learning and desires to build community. It also encourages volunteerism as seniors gain in computer-related skills. They provide online courses and encourage the development of local learning centers where courses are taught. Ask Granny learnt that SeniorNet has earned best practices awards for bringing computer skills to seniors. Their motto, Bringing Wisdom to the Information Age says it all.
