There are so many cool choices in riding toys for children these days it’s hard to remember that many of us used to ride around on a broomstick, content to call it our horse. Nowadays there are junior models of every car, truck, tank and train. They come in all sizes and colors and many are electric or battery-powered for real riding fun.

 

There are lots of choices, however, that make the child do the work and they’re pretty cool too. Here are four choices to get you started in your quest to find the perfect riding toy for your child or grandchild. Let me forewarn you—none of these toys are inexpensive and most of them require some assembly.
