If it’s fall, it’s time for apples. They come in so many colours and textures, and all of them are great snacks for the grandkids. Try one of these fun recipes. You’ll enjoy quality cooking time with your grandchildren and end up with some tasty snacks too.

For an extended experience, drive out to the orchards in your area and pick the apples. Teach your grandchildren that the food we eat actually comes from farms.

Baked Apples in a Crockpot

This recipe can be put together in the morning and enjoyed at dinner time or done in the evening and enjoyed for breakfast. Use apples, sugar, raisins, cinnamon, butter and water. They reheat nicely in the microwave. Top with a bit of whipped cream.
