Ten Thousand Villages and Flooding in Pakistan
Some of you may have purchased gift items and decorative items from Ten Thousand Villages either online or in one of their stores in the U.S. and Canada. Here is a special opportunity to help the villagers of Pakistan who are rug makers for Ten Thousand Villages, a fair trade company. Fair wages and opportunity for training, health care and other benefits are given to the Bunyaad people who make these rugs, but their livelihoods are threatened now by the massive damage done by the recent flooding in Pakistan.
