Summer is the time for open-air activities, festivals and free time for families!  Here’s something for the Dads and Grandads out there who may be in charge of the children this summer!  Forget football, now it’s all over.  Take to the great (free!) outdoors and do something different.   Bring out the bicycles, take up the tennis racquet or plan a small but special adventure.   Summer doesn’t have to mean expensive days out to Theme Parks or the seaside – look around where you live and discover what’s on your doorstep  at little or no expense – it’s all out there waiting to be discovered.

Check up some different days out http://www.dads-space.com/DaysOut which also has some great ideas for games, books, cheap and easy ways to create a “kid-zone” and the the Home page has interesting articles and a Help Desk.

Mums and Granny’s always seem to know what’s going as they usually plan and prepare, but anyone can get help from   http://www.free-events.co.uk/ which has a listing of festivals, free events, fireworks, etc. taking place around Britain this summer.

As well as lots of on-line special offers, latest money-saving ideas and on-line discounts look under the Travel and Leisure Section at  http://www.saga.co.uk/ for details of Ten Free Summer Days Out. Also check out the Saga Zone section – their on-line social network for the over 50’s!
