Budino della Nonna
100g of dark powdered chocolate
4 tablespoons of plain white flour
4-5 tablespoons of white sugar
One litre of milk
Mix the sugar, the chocolate and the flour in a large bowl.
Place in a saucepan on a low to medium heat and start adding the milk a little at a time mixing continuously with a wooden spoon.
When the mixture has thickened and starts to cling to the wooden spoon the pudding will be ready.
A hint from Zia Mirella – don’t let the mixture boil.
Take the saucepan off the stove and continue mixing .
Place the mixture in a glass serving bowl and put in the fridge to cool for several hours .
Place the dish on a platter and surround with, mint, ginger, sweet biscuits or ‘Lingue di Gatto’ biscuits
